The most recent handloom sarees and unstitched suit sets added to Kodawari. We add pieces as they come in from the clusters we work with rather than to a seasonal calendar, so this page changes irregularly — usually every couple of weeks.
Worth knowing before you browse
Almost everything we stock is a single piece. We buy in ones and twos directly from weavers rather than in bulk from wholesalers, which is what lets us tell you where each piece came from and how it was made. It also means that when something sells, that exact piece is gone — there is no restock, because there was never more than one.
If something here interests you, it is worth acting on it rather than saving it for later.
What is arriving lately
Recent additions have come from Banaras (Kota Banarasi and pure Chiniya silk), the Bengal clusters (jamdani and mul cotton), Assam, and Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh, plus a run of handwoven pure linen jamdani suit sets.
What you receive
Everything is supplied as fabric, not ready to wear. Sarees come as the drape, with blouse fabric where the description says so. Suit sets come unstitched — kurta fabric, bottom and dupatta as listed on each page. Both are tailored to your own measurements, which is why there is no size chart anywhere on this site.
